K turns 2 | Roswell Child Photographer

Miss K and I have a long history.  I have been photographing her since she was a newborn 2 years ago.  She is still one of my most favorite newborn sessions.  And then I saw her throughout the first year and now she is 2 and is going to be a big sister very soon!  I am so excited for this family.  They are hands down one of my most favorite families and I was so sad to hear they are moving back home to Chicago.  Mom and K were down to finalize some things for the move and we fit in her two year session at the same time.  I hope to be traveling up there for future sessions.  So if anyone lives in Chicago who wants a session let me know. :)  How about a walk down memory lane?

K- as a newborn

As a 7 month old…

And a year ago as a 1 year old… another one of my all time favorite sessions

I love these shots when they are just learning to walk.  Hands in the air for balance.

And now… a sweet, beautiful 2 year old.
Who wasn’t so sure about me at first but eventually I won her over with my “bike.” :)

Sweet Baby E | Atlanta Baby Photographer

What a happy baby E was… when I arrived at her home she was almost ready for her nap but she hung with us for a good hour and half so we could capture some images of her.  She was about the most squeezable baby I have ever met and immediately wanted me to hold her.  LOVE that!  She has amazing blue eyes and wonderful curly hair that has just as much personality as she does.  I so enjoyed her… thank you mom for choosing me to be little E’s photographer!

Katie – Class of 2011 | Roswell Photographer

Katie is not only a rising Senior and a beautiful girl but she is also my cousin’s “little girl.”   A couple of weeks ago I drove up to Rome, GA (whole family in tow) to capture Katie at this wonderful time in her life.  I knew she was beautiful and I knew she would be so much fun to photograph with that gorgeous red hair and green eyes but what I didn’t know is how much the camera would love her.  She is truly a natural in front of it and made my job so easy.  Not to mention that shooting at Berry College was so exciting.  There are so many perfect spots on campus… although our favorite was Frost Chapel.  High on a hill top this amazing place looked more like a castle than a church.  We could have spent hours there.  I know the whole family is anxiously awaiting the images so I wanted to give them a few to look at while I finish editing them. So let’s meet Katie…

And here is one of the whole family…

And one of the three kids.

Baby A | Roswell Newborn Photographer

When I say I love newborns I mean I love them all.  How could you not love those sweet little lives that are so new to this world.  So fresh and innocent and so instinctive in their movements and habits.  I love how there are some things that they ALL do… they all love their hands up by their face, roll their eyes around when they sleep and lift their eyebrows.  They all stretch  and startle themselves and ball up their fist when you touch the palm of their hands.  The miracle of life is such a cool thing to witness and I am lucky enough to witness that a few times a week. :)  One thing that is different is their little personalities and I often tell my parents that I can predict what they will be like as an older child at their newborn session.  It definitely holds true for my kids and since I am lucky enough to get to see most of my newborns throughout their first year I can say I am about 80% correct at my prediction.  After our session with Little A my prediction is her parents have a a very peaceful, laid back little girl.  Or should I say big girl since she weighed 9 lbs 2 oz (way to go mom). :)  Thank you S and E for bringing your sweet angel to visit me.  I enjoyed every minute of our session.

And during this session I found my beautiful outdoor space at my studio.
Nothing prettier than a sleeping (smiling) newborn outside.

Baby B | Roswell Baby Photographer

It was so awesome to see Mr. B again.  He came to see me as a newborn at my home studio and he is the first “older” baby to be photographed in my new Roswell studio.  He was just so so cute but not terribly sure of the strange lady with the camera. ;)  Now if Mom was holding him he was all smiles but when we put him down he just gave me the blank stare.  Sometimes I just think they are wondering why that big black box is attached to my face.  LOL!  Nonetheless he was adorable no matter what he was thinking.  Thank you mom for bringing that sweet boy back to visit me.
