A change is in the air….
Posted on March 3, 2010
Hold on tight everyone because I am finally able to announce a big change is coming for AGR Photography. In the very near future AGR Photography will look VERY different on the web. But rest assured even though the package appearance is changing the product will still be the same…
Well except for a few new additions to products and services. And just one for now… I will updating with my recent sessions once everything is up and running.

Doesn’t she make you giggle? More of this sweetie next post.

7 months | Alpharetta Baby Photographer
Posted on February 20, 2010
This week I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with one cute little man. This age is definitely a fave for me. I love how interactive they are and the adorable expressions they make. It is a time to be cherished for sure. Mr. J was quite the trooper after his 1 hour + drive to come and see me. We were lucky enough to have some beautiful weather and got to venture outside for some. Quite a change from last week’s snow engagement shots right? That is the great thing about the south though… one day 30 degrees and snow and then a week later mid 50’s and beautiful sun.
Thank you C for bringing your special little guy out. I had a great time with all of you.

E-Session {Kate & Ralph} | Alpharetta Photographer
Posted on February 13, 2010
SNOW DAY!!! Well after many hours of snow falling from the sky we awoke to a beautiful Winter Wonderland. I was so excited to see it this am. Just something you don’t see everyday in the Atlanta area. Yesterday I talked to my good friend Kate about her engagement session that is coming up. As many of you know I don’t do weddings but will occasionally do an E-Session.
For Kate… definitely. Kate is an actress/model as well as her adorable 9 year old and her finance. So needless to say that makes my job very easy. I don’t have to give them hardly any direction… they are just that good.
Kate really wanted to do something in the snow…. I said SURE! Better come at sunrise though. So she got up and dragged Ralph and her daughter out on the very icy roads to meet me. I am not sure, but I don’t think Ralph was pleased the whole idea of driving on icy roads but once they arrived we all had a good time. They could barely get over 10 miles an hour the whole way here. But they made it safe and sound and we had a great time playing in the snow! I am so excited for them and their upcoming wedding (10-10-10). I can’t wait to see Kate in her dress…. she is simply stunning anyway so I can’t even imagine how beautiful she will be all dolled up on her big day!

Snow in GA | Alpharetta Photographer
Posted on February 12, 2010
Wow! We can hardly believe it… it really did snow!
We got about 5 inches or so at our house and for us southerners that is pretty exciting. Like a friend said “Snow in the south is like Christmas morning!” Normally when we get snow we get it overnight so we don’t get to watch it but today it started at 2:00 pm and went till well after dark. It was fun to watch it fall and see our landscape turned into a winter wonderland. It is such a beautiful site. When it first started falling I noticed our little bird feeder was running low on seed. So I went quickly to fill it up and grabbed my camera. I slowly crept closer to it so I could get some shots of our little friends. The Chickadees and Tufted Titmouse were the ones least afraid of me so they came around more often while I was standing a mere 6 feet away from the feeder. There was one cute little brown bird too that came around once. Not sure what it is though. I stood there for 25 minutes or so to let them get used to me and I had my 135 mm lens on as well so I could get a decent close up. It was fun to see them gather their treats and fly off. There is something so happy about a bird… their sort of like babies in a way. You can just sit and stare at them endlessly and never grow tired of how cute they are.

I think this one is my favorite.

Tomorrow hopefully I will have some of the kids.

Collin | Milton High School Class of 2011- Senior Rep
Posted on February 9, 2010
It is hard to believe it is that time again, but here it is. Time for Senior Reps. Meet my first photographed Senior Rep, Collin. There will be more to come in the next few weeks. Collin is a current year Junior at Alpharetta’s Milton High School. We met this weekend to have our mini session. I photographed his older sister two years ago and was delighted when Mom emailed me to photograph her son as well. Many of you may remember Rachel his older sister. I am not sure how you can forget her eyes. Simply stunning! I wondered if Collin’s would be the same and yep… they pretty much are completely stunning.
I am definitely looking forward to warmer weather and our full session together.

His sister… in case you forgot.

And… the weather breaks | Atlanta Child Photographer
Posted on February 8, 2010
This weekend we finally got a bit of a break in the cold/rainy weather so I could schedule one of my many sessions that are waiting in the wings. Little Miss E has recently turned a year old and we were waiting on a nice day to finish up her first year of portraits. She is quite the character… full of expressions, opinions and giggles. We had a great time together, after she spent the first 20 minutes or so staring at me like “who are you and why are you in my house?” That is one reason I love one year olds. They have become so aware of their surroundings and while some are fickle with who they will let come near them, most are just a wee bit cautious and then once they realize you are ok they will allow you in their world. Thank you E for letting me in your world. I had a great time there.

My girl…
Posted on February 5, 2010
After a good month off from shooting I decided to take a few shots of my girl. A few months ago she asked to get bangs… of course the mother in me screamed NO, but when I talked to her about it it was clear she REALLY wanted them. So I let her go and get them cut. She is so in love with them. She just adores them. I think she also likes that she doesn’t have to have her hair “fixed” every morning. Which honestly is a plus for me too. She is now able to brush her own hair in the am. So this week she got a haircut and whenever she gets one I am just in amazed at how pretty they make her hair look. The art of blowdrying is definitely something I am not good at. So with her cute little bangs and freshly blown hair we snapped a few shots. Thought I would share them here!

Applications are now being sent out for High School Senior Reps. As in past years I will be choosing several students from several North Metro Atlanta High Schools. - 1- 30 minute mini session to create images for your business cards and to used on Facebook
- 1 full senior session to be scheduled after May 1st
- $35 print credit for every booked Senior session you refer

A well deserved break | Alpharetta Photographer
Posted on January 24, 2010
January has proven to be a well needed break for me. I always take off December but it never really feels like a break since the Holidays are quite busy otherwise. This month has proven to be busy for my family as well so being the slow season has worked out well. I do have clients waiting on clear, warmer weather though so the first pretty day we will be out there for sure. I am finishing my editing of my last sweet newborn so I thought I would share a few more of her with you. She was so fun to photograph and proofing her session was just as fun.
There also lots of changes happening within AGR Photography in the up coming months. I can’t speak to them right now but many things are on the horizon for this year and I am super excited about it. One thing I can speak about is an upcoming casting call. I will be looking for maternity and newborn models in the next couple of months for some projects I have in the works. I will release details at a later date but for those of you who know someone who is expecting in the next 2-3 months keep my casting call in mind. It will involve a free session for them with the possibility for more.

Oh my gracious. She made my day. What a doll!!!
I am giggling tears! Too cute!
I KNOW Lisa and Ali… I look at her and just smile. She is too stinkin cute.
Haley… I have so many great ones.
